Their Ozone producing plates, in addition to being miniaturized are also self-cleaning and unbreakable. They are permanently installed in the units and are maintenance free. The weight and size of the machines make them a truly portable air-cleaning device.Quantum Pure Aire has units that are equipped with a Puristat sensor. The Puristat sensor is an air quality sensor that detects very low levels of odor, toxins and pollutants, and then automatically signals the unit to turn on. When the toxins and odors are neutralized, the sensor puts the unit into a standby mode until the quality of the air changes again. As a thermostat senses air according to temperature, the Puristat senses air according to pollutants. All units meet FCC requirements and will not interfere with other electronics. All units operate on 12Vdc.
